Helen to represent North of England on the ice
Posted 04 March 2010
A New College Nottingham (ncn) employee began training at the National Ice Centre on Saturday, 27 February, after being selected for the North of England Women's Ice Hockey Team.
Helen Moss, from Gedling, works as a Personal Assistant at ncn, along with playing ice hockey in her spare time. She completed a BTEC National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science at the College in 2005, and has since played for the England Women's Ice Hockey Team as well as the Nottingham Vipers and the Sheffield Shadows.
Helen said "I'm really excited about starting the next round of training with the team. There are some girls who I've played with before which is nice, and also plenty of fresh young talent coming through from the Junior team."
Helen will find out later in the year if she has been reselected for the England Women's Ice Hockey Team, after a series of matches against the South of England Team.
